Getting started

Install Keen Address, run the first bulk check and confirm that new orders receive a short address.

Keen Address takes about ten minutes to set up. There is nothing to add to your theme and nothing for the shopper to do differently at checkout.

Before you start

You need a Shopify store that ships to Saudi Arabia and a staff account with permission to install apps. Keen Address works on every Shopify plan, including Shopify Plus with checkout extensibility.

Install the app

  1. Open the Keen Address listing in the Shopify App Store and choose Install.
  2. Review the permissions. Keen Address asks to read and write orders so it can attach the short address, and to read shipping addresses so it can check them.
  3. Approve the install. You land in the Keen Address dashboard inside your Shopify admin.

Run the first bulk check

The dashboard offers to check your existing open orders. Start it and leave the page open or come back later; the check runs in the background and usually finishes within a few minutes for a few hundred orders.

When it finishes you will see three groups:

  • Resolved: a short address was found and attached.
  • Unresolved: no confident match. These orders are tagged address-unresolved and, if the WhatsApp fallback is on, the shopper has been sent a confirmation link.
  • Outside Saudi Arabia: skipped. Keen Address only checks Saudi addresses.

Confirm that new orders are checked

Place a test order with a Saudi shipping address. Within a few seconds the order page in Shopify shows a Short address attribute under Additional details and a metafield under Metafields. If you see neither, check that the app is still installed and that the order has a Saudi shipping address.
