How it works

    The shopper taps "Pin my location" in the cart, or in checkout on Shopify Plus, and the map opens on their current position.

    They move the pin to the exact spot. One tap confirms it.

    The shipping address fills itself from the pin: street, area, city, country. They can edit anything before continuing.

    The order carries the address, the coordinates and a map link your courier can open on their phone.

Questions

Do I need a Google Maps key?

Yes. We walk you through creating one in about ten minutes during setup, and you keep full control of the cost. Most stores never exceed Google's free monthly credit.

Does it work without Shopify Plus?

Yes. The cart widget works on every plan. The checkout widget needs Plus, which is why it's on the Plus plan.

Where does the location go?

Into the order as the shipping address plus two order attributes: the coordinates and a map link. Any courier or fulfilment app that reads order attributes can use them.

Does it change my theme?

No. It's a theme app extension you switch on in the theme editor and remove the same way.

Which countries?

Any. The map and geocoding are Google's, so it works wherever Google Maps does.
